Murwillumbah TAFE

Murwillumbah TAFE, in the Tweed region, is part of North Coast TAFE in New South Wales.

Murwillumbah, the business centre of the Tweed Shire, sits in the shadow of Mount Warning, the world’s biggest extinct shield volcano. Mount Warning is also known as Wollumbin to the local Bundjalung people and is an important sacred site.

As Murwillumbah is 25 minutes from coastal areas and the Gold Coast, and 90 minutes from Brisbane, it is close to beautiful beaches, world heritage listed national parks and bustling metropolitan centres. Murwillumbah is also the home of the renowned ‘Speed on Tweed’ and ‘The Tweed Valley Banana and Harvest Week’ Festivals.

Murwillumbah TAFE Campus, located on the traditional lands of the Bundjalung people, is handily located in the central business district and offers a range of courses, from entry level to Diploma level, that meet many career requirements.

Faculty and course areas include: Community Services – Welfare; General Education courses (e.g. Tertiary Preparation, Communication and Media), Arts and Media - Visual Arts (includes fine arts, ceramics); Information Technology; Transport (Automotive trade and Marine Mechanical); Business Administration and Retail.
